How to apply for and the benefits of a retirement KITAP in Indonesia


Retirement KITAP is the term for the Indonesian policy or rule that permits foreign nationals 60 years of age or older to live there for up to five years.

Stay

  • Up to 5 Year.

Processing time

  • Up to 60 business days.

Document requirements

  • Bali Visas application form.
  • Original passport valid for a minimum of 36 months.
  • A minimum of 3 months KITAS validity is required upon submission to immigration.
  • Bank statement (minimum amount USD $1.500).
  • Domicile letter of home address in Bali and copy of lease agreement.
  • Life or health insurance policy.
  • Maid/ helper ID card (KTP).
  • Limited Stay Permit Card (KITAS) proving that the applicant has lived in Indonesia for the last 3 (three) consecutive years.
  • SKTT (Temporary Residential Registration).

Prices above exclude

  • Domicile letter of Indonesian home address – IDR 250.000.
  • Address change in same region – IDR 500.000.
  • Address change to different region – IDR 1.000.000.
  • SKTT (Temporary Residential Registration) – IDR 1.000.000.
  • Kitap cancelation (EPO or ERP) – IDR 1.000.000.
  • MERP extension 1 year –  IDR 2.700.000.
  • MERP extension 2 years – IDR 4.000.000.

Kitap cancelation 

  • You are required to cancel your Kitap if you want to terminate it or change to a new visa:
    • EPO (Exit Permit Only) is required if you are inside Indonesia.
    • ERP (Exit Re-Entry) Permit is required if you are outside of Indonesia.
