How to apply for and the benefits of a dependent kitas in Indonesia
A Dependent / Spousal KITAS is a type of temporary residency visa that allows foreign nationals to enter Indonesia with their spouse, children, or other family members.
If a parent or partner holds a foreign investment KITAS or a work permit, the dependent or spouse KITAS may be obtained.
The procedures and prerequisites for obtaining a Dependent or Spousal KITAS in Indonesia are outlined below.

Stay
- Up to 6 Months or 1 Year.
Processing time
- Up to 40 business days.
From applicant
- Bali Visas application form.
- Scan of the identity and signature pages of passport (no photos, must be a color scan).
- Passport valid for at least 18 months with a minimum of 2 blank pages.
- Scan of most recent visa sticker/stamp in passport; a minimum of 30 days validity is required during the process to avoid overstay.
- Recent passport-style color photo (digital format).
- Akta Nikah/ Marriage Certificate (already reported to civil registration in Indonesia).
- If married outside Indonesia:
- Original Marriage Certificate (certificate must be translated in English or Bahasa Indonesia).
- Marriage certificate report from Indonesian embassy.
- Company’s Bank statement (minimum amount USD $2,000).
- Document showing family ties to Primary KITAS holder (Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate):
- Spousal (Marriage Certificate) must be in English/ Bahasa Indonesia.
- Kids under 17 years old (Marriage & Birth Certificate) must be in English/ Bahasa Indonesia.
- Sponsor transfer letter (required if current visa is not sponsored by Bali Visas).
- ID Card of the previous guarantor or sponsor is required.
- Single Entry E-Visa.
From spouse (If foreign citizen)
- Scan of the identity and signature pages of passport (no photos, must be a color scan).
- Scan of Kitas.
From foreign spouse’s Indonesian employer/ sponsor
- Company deed of establishment and its amendments.
- Approval from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (MoLHR) of company sponsor.
- Tax Registration Number (NPWP) of company sponsor.
- OSS documents (NIB, Ijin Lokasi, Ijin Usaha)
- Indonesian ID Card (KTP) and Family Card (Kartu Keluarga) of the Indonesian director of company sponsor as guarantor, or passport of foreign director.
- Company letterhead and company stamp.
- Login TKA Online & Visa Online (If company has been registered).

Kitas cancelation
You are required to cancel your Kitas if you want to terminate it or change to a new visa:
- EPO (Exit Permit Only) is required if you are inside Indonesia.
- ERP (Exit Re-Entry) Permit is required if you are outside of Indonesia
Kitas renewal
- Annual renewal price: IDR 8.000.000.
- Applicant must be physically present in Indonesia to process Kitas renewal.
- Renewal needs to be processed within 1 – 3 months before your Kitas expires.

- Domicile letter of home address.
- SKTT (Temporary Residential Registration).
